Lussas Dam

Owner : ASA d'Irrigation de la Plaine de Lussas

This dam was the first to be equipped with Hydroplus fusegates, in 1991.

From their first year of service, they provided the water storage capacity required for irrigating the fruit crops in the Lussas plain.

During the large flood that struck in the region in 1994 a fusegate overturned, as it was designed to do; it was immediately replaced, enabling the reservoir to fill once again in advance of the following crop season.
