Foum El Gueiss dam, operated by the National Agency of Dams and Transfers (ANBT) to irrigate the Remila plain has totally silted up since its launching. The installation of Fusegates has increased the storage capacity by 500 000 m3, while raising the water level by 1m, required height for the reservoir dredging with a floating barge.
